Birth of Jesus

Find Out The Mystery Of The Virgin Birth Of Jesus

The bible recounts that Jesus was born from the virgin Mary. This concept of a virgin giving birth has been a cause for debate for many years, with many doubting its occurrence. In this article, I merge the principles from the word of God regarding conception and the discoveries in modern medicine to prove and illustrate the mystery surrounding the conception of Jesus through the virgin Mary.

Firstly, how conception occurs from a biological standpoint is described and illustrated. This includes the recent ground-breaking discovery that takes place during conception.

Thereafter, how conception occurs from a spiritual point of view is illustrated through scriptural references.

The intention is to conclude with a compelling explanation surrounding the birth of Jesus by uncovering the principles God uses for conception, demonstrating how Jesus was born through a virgin.

1. How Conception Occurs Biologically

A human being is formed when a sperm from enters the egg of the female individual. The sperm is released into the female’s reproductive system and swim to penetrate the egg. This creates what is call an embryo, which after few days makes its way to the the womb, where it’ll grow and become a baby that’ll be delivered after 9 months.

Virgin birth

The ground breaking discovery in this process was discovered by Duncan, F., Que, E., Zhang, N. et al., 2016. This study, titled: The zinc spark is an inorganic signature of human egg, observed that an explosion of zinc fireworks occurs when the human egg is activated.

During conception, the human egg releases a burst of light. This explosion of light is crucial; without it, conception cannot take place, as the egg is considered not viable to create life.

2. How Conception Occurs Spiritually

Before exploring how Mary gave birth, it is essential to understand the divine principles related to the method of conception. These principles are symbolically referenced in the account of creation in Genesis. They which involve 3 steps as detailed below:

Step 1: The Availability of the Earth

Genesis 1:2 reads, “The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters.” The earth symbolically signifies a woman’s egg, which is covered by darkness as it resides deep within the her reproductive system.

Step 2: The Hovering of the Spirit

Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. This represents the second step of conception, where the Spirit of God hovers the the earth (or egg).

Step 3: The Spoken Word

“Then God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light.” This concluding step involves spoken words that manifested a reality. Light was brought forth on earth at God’s command.

3. The Conception Of Jesus

When Mary asked the angel of the Lord how she’ll become pregnant, the angel gave this response:

The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you [like a shining cloud]; and so the holy (pure, sinless) Thing (Offspring) which shall be born of you will be called the Son of God.” (Luke 1:35 AMPC)

This response highlight the three steps of the conception process as discussed above.

Step 1: The Availability of the Earth

Mary represents the earth as she embodies the egg as an element that will become Jesus. The Lord chose and favored her to conceive the Son of the Most High (Luke 1:30).

Step 2: The Hovering of the Spirit

This is demonstrated by the words “The Holy Spirit will come upon you”, the same way the Spirit of God hovered over the surface of the earth.

Step 3: The Spoken Word

Now the angel of the Lord told Mary the process of conception, but for it to occur, the final step is the spoken word.

After being told of the process surrounding her pregnancy Mary declared:

“I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you have said about me come true.”

It is at this instant that the explosion of light occurred physically over her egg through the declaration.

This proclamation set off a spectacular display of light fireworks, resembling a cloud of light, which made her egg activated, thus developing to become baby Jesus. Moreover, this is encapsulated by the words from the angel of the Lord: “And the power of the most High will overshadow you [like a shining cloud].

When God said let there be light, the light was formed around an entity that was formless (the earth) and light on earth became real. The conception of Jesus occurred by the same principle as Mary proclaimed what the angel of God has said.

The aforementioned paper allude to the fact that, unless there be an explosion of Zinc fireworks (a shining cloud), the egg will not advance to become a baby.

Therefore, both biological principles and those derived from Scripture indicate that, for life to emerge, there must be a burst of light.

4. The Spiritual Conception Of People

The spiritual conception of individuals signifies a second birth, which Jesus referred to as being born again. When we experience this rebirth, a similar three-step process as described below:

Step 1: The availability of the earth

Genesis 1:7 states that God formed man of the dust of the ground, the ground of which forms part of the earth. Each individual is thus representative of the earth for we were made of the earth.

We avail ourselves to the hearing of God’s word. And God’s word brings light into our spirit. Thus leading us to the second step.

Step 2: The hovering of the Spirit

The second step is the hovering of the Spirit. This typically happens through engaging with scripture, listening to sermons from men and women ministering the word of God, and more.

Jesus said in Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

As people gather to listen to the word of God being preached, Jesus is present, marking the fact that the Spirit of God is hovering upon all individuals.

As men and women of God preach the word, people are led to believe in Jesus Christ. The same way Mary believed the words spoken by the angel of the Lord.

1 Peter 1:23 describes this spiritual birth as follows:

“For you have been born again, not to a life that will quickly end. Your new [spiritual] life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God.”

This new spiritual life comes from the word of God. The word of God is Spirit and life, marking the beginning of our spiritual life.

Step 3: The spoken word

After believing we we declare or confess with words coming from our mouths that Jesus Christ is Lord signifying the completion of our spiritual birth.

The light of God shines upon us at this instance, marking us His children by bestowing the Holy Spirit upon us.

In the words of Jesus in John 6:63, The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.

5. Final Remarks On The Virgin Birth

Isn’t it amazing how scientific discovery always prove the principles of God? Understand that any recent discovery made in medicine, science, and other fields are history unto God.

Creation is complete, whichever new discovery we uncover, God made them in the first 6 days, we are simply catching up to what God has done.

No sperm was required for Mary to conceive because for according to God’s principles of conception, only three activities need to occur. These are:

  • The availability of a formless an egg (earth)
  • The hovering of the Spirit over the egg
  • A declaration that will bring the formation of light required to create life.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). Mary used the power of the tongue to speak the light into existence, kickstarting the life of Jesus the man, the same way God spoke light into existence.

This is proof that Jesus was formed by adhering to the divine principles of creation as found in Genesis 1:2. He is indeed the Holy One of God, pure and sinless right from conception.

Jesus is Light, his conception was underpinned by light and his birth was signified by light (Matthew 2:9-10). He transfigured before his disciples further displaying that he is indeed Light, and in him there is no darkness at all.

Finally, from a human standpoint, our spiritual birth is marked by believing in Jesus Christ as the Son of the Living God and confessing his Lordship over our lives. This spiritual birth brings the light of God in our lives.

Discoveries like these that make me truly in awe of God. His ways are absolutely remarkable and He never deviates from His principles. Job 22:28 summarizes the concept of conception:

Job 22:28 NKJV

You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.
